By removing himself physically from the world, Saint Simeon was able to focus his life on God.
The Holy Orthodox Church celebrates the earthly life of Saint Simeon on September 1 (new calendar) / September 14 (Old Calendar), the day he was released from his earthly struggles to enjoy everlasting peace in Heaven.
May the story of his life inspire us towards a closer relationship with our loving God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
