Η έκδοση της Μεγάλης Ιεράς Συνόψεως σκοπό έχει να βοηθήσει τον ευλαβή Χριστιανό στην πρός τον Θεόν προσευχή του και στην μετά προσοχής και ζήλου παρακολούθηση των Ι. Ακολουθιών.
Στα εννέα κεφάλαια που περιλαμβάνει θα βρει ο πιστός, Προσευχές, Ακολουθίες, το Τριώδιον, την Μ. Τεσσαρακοστή, την Μ. Εβδομάδα, το Πεντηκοστάριον, Μηνολόγιον, Ευαγγέλια, Αποστόλους, Ευρετήριον Αγίων.

The purpose of The Great Sacred Synopsis is to assist the devout Christian in his prayer to God and in the attentive and zealous participation in the Holy Services of the Church.

Within its nine chapters, the faithful will find Prayers, Services, the Triodion, the Great Lent,  Holy Week, the Pentecostarion, the Menaion, Gospel and Epistle readings, as well as an Index of Saints.
