Παρακλητική ή Οκτώηχος η Μεγάλη, λέγεται το λειτουργικό βιβλίο που περιέχει την εβδομαδιαία Ακολουθία των οκτώ Ήχων, των Θεοτοκίων και Απολυτικίων όλου του έτους. Επίσης περιέχει του δύο Παρακλητικούς Κανόνες της Υπεραγίας Θεοτόκου, τον Κανόνα του Ακαθίστου Ύμνου, τα Εξαποστειλάρια, τα ένδεκα Εωθινά Ιδιόμελα και Ύμνους Τριαδικούς κατ’ Ήχον. The Parakletike or the Great Octoechos is the liturgical book that contains the weekly cycle of services for the eight Tones (Modes), as well as Theotokia (hymns to the Mother of God) and Apolytikia (dismissal hymns) for the entire year. It also includes the two Supplicatory Canons to the Most Holy Theotokos, the Canon of the Akathist Hymn, the Exapostilaria, the eleven Resurrectional Idiomela, and Triadic Hymns according to each Tone.
