A Boy’s Journey to Sainthood: Saint Iakovos Tsalikis

The saints of our Church, even the greatest elders and ascetics, were once children! In volume 3 of the series we meet Saint Iakovos Tsalikis from Livisi in Asia Minor.

Following the Asia Minor Catastrophe, the two year old Iakovos came to Greece with his family as refugees. They settled in the village of Farakla on the island of Evia. It was there, on Evia, that his spiritual development began, which would lead the weak and sickly child, the “autumn bird” as his mother called him, from glory to glory.
