This volume, now printed for the third time, offers a full account of the life, character and message of one of the most popular modern Orthodox saints, St Seraphim of Sarov (1759-1833). It contains a beautiful new life of the Saint written by the late Prof. Mary–Barbara Zeldin of Hollins College, Virginia, a fresh translation of his Conversation on the grace of the Holy Spirit and of his Spiritual Counsels, done by the same scholar, and a long introduction written by Dr Constantine Cavarnos.
