St Zenobia

Commemorated on October 30th

Saint Zenobia was brought up in the Christian faith along with her brother, Zenobius. Eventually, the two were martyred together. Zenobia and Zenobius were Christians because of their parents. The four of them were strong in their faith. The problem is, they were alive during a time of heavy Christian persecution at the hands of the Roman Empire. Zenobius was a physician and healed many in God’s name. Zenobia also openly practiced her faith. The pair were taken by the governor Lysias for their beliefs. They were tortured and then beheaded.
