This book, which forms the fourth volume in our Treasury of Serbian Orthodox Spirituality series, concerns itself with a subject at the heart of every Serbian Orthodox Christian’s life, The Struggle for Faith. As bishop Nikolai expressed it so beautifully; “The struggle for faith is the struggle for the soul; the struggle for the soul is the struggle for true life; the struggle for true life is the struggle for a value greater and higher than all the world and all that is in the world” (p.14)

This volume, like the others in its series, is yet another spiritual weapon for our use in this great struggle for faith — a struggle in which the greatest and holiest of all Serbs, Saint Savva, expects all his spiritual sons and daughters to participate.
